The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has given all telecommunication operators January 1st, 2010 as deadline to commence registration of the Sim Card in their networks.

The NCC Chief Executive Officer, Ernest Ndukwe said by January 2010, no Nigerian would carry phones that are not properly registered and the owner identified as the current SIM Card registration process initiated by the Commission, at the behest of security agencies in the country will soon come under way.
