The telecommunications industry is abuzz with speculation about who might be on the board of the $43 billion national broadband network which is expected to be announced over the next few weeks.

While Communications Minister Stephen Conroy has confirmed this week that the announcement will come by the end of the month, expectations are that the announcement of the board could come as early as next week.
