Accidental release of confidential report sees Telstra’s network valued at up to $33b

Telstra’s copper network is worth between $8billion and $33bn according to a confidential report accidentally released yesterday by Communications Minister Stephen Conroy, reports The Australian.
The bungle comes as the government is locked in secret negotiations with Telstra over the purchase or access to the network as part of the rollout of the $43bn broadband network. The value of the network has been subject to intense speculation in financial markets.
