Without a doubt, Asia, particularly China, is the engine of growth for the world’s telecoms market.

According to Informa Telecoms & Media principal analyst Charles Moon, the Asia Pacific is forecast to have 3.9 billion mobile subscribers by 2015, double that of last year. “A bulk, or 92%, of this will come from emerging markets and this shows the high growth in the telecommunications industry,” he said during the Ericsson Business Innovation Forum 2010 recently.
